might be a dumb question but how do you know the difference between a jaw breaker and a regular mushrooms. is it just the bumps

LOL well, i use to think all mushrooms were the same as well.

but the difference is, jawbreakers are inherently Bright as ****.
also Jawbreakers are kinda like fine wine, the longer you keep them the more colors they will slowly develop.
they all start off that golden orange, then they slowly will develop the red then the green then if you are lucky the purple.
so that is why they command such high price, cause they have to be aged like fine wine. so you kinda look at the mother for comparison for what kinda of potential your jawbreaker you are purchasing has in the future.
also for some people they dont grow very fast like all the other mushrooms out there. so thats why you dont see them as common as the other mushrooms
all adds to the price of it
