I have 105-pounds of Bulk Reef Supply Pukani Dry Live Rock that I'm giving away for FREE. I paid $397.95 for it! Picture attached from when I added it to my tank during setup. There's more than what is pictured, like 3-5 more large pieces.

I used it, didn't cure it, caused me nothing but algae headaches for months, removed it, bleached it, dried it, and it's sitting in my driveway ever since.

Naturally you should fully cure this before you use it! I'd even re-bleach it. All but two pieces are nice and white. The last two pieces came out of my tank a few days ago.

I'd like to give this to at least two people that could actually use it, i.e., can't afford to buy their own. Not someone that will pull up in an $80K car and then go and resell it.

Ideally, I'd prefer if two people claim it and then others vouch for those two people in some way.

So please, do the right thing and leave this for the people that can actually use it and need it. I likely won't give it away to anyone that can't be vouched for, sorry.

No PMs please!

Anyone that sent me a PM regarding the rock, sorry, you're not getting the rock. I'll check back tomorrow to read replies and message whomever can come pick it up.

Also, stop asking me if I have more free stuff. I do, but anyone that asked isn't getting it.

I'll post all of that soon, carbon, GFO, filter socks, plumbing, and much more.

Is there any credible forum member here that is willing to pick the person(s) that take the rock?

I don't know anyone here, so it's going to be difficult for me to determine who needs it verses those that want to take it and possibly re-sell it.

I also have a $600 sump that I'm giving away, $500 partial skimmer that just needs a recirculating pump, and a whole bunch of other stuff.

I'm interest in picking up the rock if available. I'm from NYC but can make the drive at some time.

I haven't started the hobby but am in the middle of piecing together things. Doing it slowly so I can pick up some deals along the way and hopefully cut down on overall costs. I'll probably go with a 40 breeder or something but haven't decided yet. I may end up having to do a 25 gallon or so for cost/size reasons. Depends on whether I can sell my freshwaater tank but getting no interest in my tank so far so who knows. It seems like rock alone will run about 90 bucks (if I go for osme of the cheaper ones out there) for a 40 gallon tank so if the rock is still available, it'd help a lot! . Thanks.

This whole thing kind of back-fired on me. This hobby is expensive enough and I'm guessing that most people don't actually "need" things, they just "want" them.

I really don't know how to pick the person(s) that should get the rock.

I am thinking a bunch of interested people meet at my house. I will place all the rock in the center of my driveway. All people will form a perimeter around the rock and have some type of elimination battle. Whomever reaches the rock first, wins. No rules other than you can't hit anyone with a piece of rock or use any other weapons.

I will provide a live-stream here on the forums.

:wink1:
