I have my Glass Cages oak stand & canopy for a 4'x2' 120g for sale.
I'm taking the tank with me and will be putting it in-wall. The oak was sanded, stained and sealed with a couple of coats of poly. The inside of the canopy is painted gloss white. The stand has a solid top with the exception of a center overflow cutout, solid back but I made 4 rectangular cutouts for plumbing and one 2" hole on the left side that I used to plumb my Deltec externally. There are 2 Ice Cap 4" fans on either ends of the canopy and I had some custom oak grill covers made for me to hide the fans.
I paid $450 + $50 pick up fee, $90 for the Ice Caps and $70 for the grill covers.
Asking for $300 OBO and it must be picked up this coming Mon, Tue or Wed or it will go into storage.
Stand is 33" with trim but really just a 30" stand, canopy is 14" with trim but probably 11" to 12" of workable space. I currently house PFO parallel reflectors running dual 250w halides and two 110w VHO bulbs under this canopy. (lighting not included)
This is when I was putting the setup together back in '05:

Hey Mike,

Stand and canopy is pending to Oliver. If he doesn't show for any reason, it's yours.
This would have been good for your acrylic tank cause it has the full top on the stand in which you need for acrylic tanks. Did Paul's tank also have a back center overflow?
Can't believe that you had that tank for this long and have not set it up yet?

Yea honestly, it's KILLING ME!!! but my fiancee and I are moving, probably right after the wedding (september) so I think it would be bad first-tank experience to set something up in the apartment and then move soon after. The tank does have a rear external overflow, it's long, like could be 24" across the back and about 6 inches deep, will that impact the hood? I worry that being an inch thick, the usual 48x24x24 might not be exact (I'll check), will that be a problem for the stand? Is there a lip or anything? Thanks
M

Right Mike, I forgot that Paul went all out and had an external overflow made for the tank.
The stand will not impact with the external overflow, there is no lip on the backside, just the front/left/right side. You can place a full sheet of styro on the stand top for the tank to rest on.
The hood is fine too since there is no backing either. I mounted my 3 Ice Cap ballast on the back top rim since it was like an inch thick.
I will say that with the front opening of the stand, you will probably only be able to manuever a 30g long as a sump through the door opening, that was what I had used. You need to plumb the external pump either outside of the back of the stand (that's why I had a few cutouts) or plumb it parallel to the sump by drilling it on the front instead of the end side.

Mike,
Your up to bat :)
Oliver passed on the stand/canopy.

Pecan will a reef ready aga 120gallon fit in this stand. I ask because the pics look like I would have to buy a custom tank.

Disregard went back and saw the 4x2 in the listing. Now I have to go find out what petland is selling new reef ready 120gl aga. and from there the only problem should be pickup/transport.

So let me do research and I will get back to you by 2 morrow. Sorry posted without focusing on description

David,
An AGA RR 120g would fit but.............
you would need a jigsaw to cut 2 holes for the repositioned overflow openings in an AGA tank.
It's really no biggie and would take you about 15 minutes from the time you drilled the eight 1/2" pilot holes to finishing the cuts with a jigsaw.
Since AGA tanks are designed to have their weight on the rim edge, you won't need to be worried about the extra center cutout on the stand top.

I also want to let people know that the stand and canopy might most likely be separated since I have a few request for each individual piece but the sale will go to the person that wants both within a reasonable timeframe of the next few days.

Thanks.
