I have a quiet one original that i have had in storage for over 2 years. it was only used for about 3 months as a return on my old tank. it's looks and runs perfect, runs silent, NO rust. I actually just hooked it up again and ran it for about 2 weeks to make sure there was no issue's with it. It started and worked perfectly.

1140 GPH, 0'head, only uses 85 watts, max head 15 feet

$40 picked up, or $45 shipped
Thanks,
Frank

I had one for ten years, it worked great, but in the end i had to replace it, the pump would stop for no reason.
I wish they still made them, they were awesome, dead quiet.

I don't have a chiller and also I have MH light, guess this pump will added even more heat to the tank. I'm using a mag 5, think that also adds heat to tank. any suggestion on a pump for a 90gal?

thanks,
Peter

Any pump that is water cooled or submersable will add about 1-2 degrees to the tank depending on tank volume and flow. Like I said in the original post I did hook it up to my tank just to make sure it worked before I sold it. I used it instead of my mag 7 for the chiller and I didn't see any noticeable difference in tank tempurature nor did I notice the chiller going "ON" more often. In my opinion It is a very good pump, I actually think it is far better than any of the newer models that they are currently putting out.

thanks,
Frank
