the babys are still in the nest they could be hand raised the 1 year olds are 2male and 2 females paired up they should start breeding in another 6 months to a year there $50 each
kris if you want your quaker to talk invest in a tape recorder or radio.you can record a phrase you want it to learn on your pc, put it on a cd over and over and over and over, set the radio to repeat the tracks and just let it play everyday until the bird learns the phrase (you must also spend as much time as possible repeating the phrases you want it to learn).that's the easiest way, the best way would be to just interact with it all the time as much as possible...
drz there ok with people i had them paired off so they can you know (do it)so they havent really bine handled but if you clip there wings and give them time they will get trained tyhe babys i have are still in the nest and can be trained more easier than the 1 year olds
Jose, Chubby's outside all day. I have two parakeets, and I think they might be the problem. Every noise that they make he makes. I did teach chubby how to laugh though. He gets alot of playtime with me and my dad(only people he likes). Guess he would just rather be a parakeet.
I think you have to look at it like you would when getting a dog or cat. birds require attention, and they do bond with you. you also need to have someone to look after them when you go away.
Well with love birds they dont need as much attention since they have each other. And the great thing about birds is they dont need water to be topped of so you can get them those vacation sticks and the large water tubes that will last atleast a week
