I am selling a 29 gallon complete reef setup. I set up this tank to house stony corals and it is equipped with a metal halide, a wet/dry filter, a skimmer, and a powerhead. The wet/dry filter and the skimmer are both rated up to 90 gallons. There’s also approximately 50 lbs. of live rock which is the Fiji and Tonga variety and comes in many nice shapes and sizes.
The metal halide features 6 white and 6 blue LEDs and can be set to turn on during the nighttime for a moonlight effect. The wet/dry filter also functions as a wavemaker and it’s completely enclosed so it can’t overflow.
This tank has been set up for only two months! I just purchased the metal halide in Dec. and have the receipt.
The entire setup with all the equipment mentioned below cost me over $1000. I am selling the complete setup with everything listed below for $700 or best offer. For comparison you can buy a Red Sea Max 34 gallon reef setup with tank and stand for $950 online but it doesn’t come with a metal halide or a really good wet/dry filter.
- 29 Gallon tank, Cabinet stand (light oak) and glass top - $100
- 150W Metal Halide 6 White/6 Blue LEDs ($300 new condition - purchased 5 mos. ago) $240
- Eheim 2227 Wet/Dry Filter (retail price $250) - $180
- Prizm Deluxe Skimmer (up to 100 gal) - $70
- Maxi-Jet 900 powerhead/pump - $12
- Jager heater 125W - $12
- Live rock – Fiji and Tonga mix (approx. 50 lbs.) - $200
- Hermit crabs and snails (~30) - $40
- Xenia coral - $15
- Peppermint Shrimp (2) - $10

The second tank I’m selling is a 30 gallon reef tank complete with all the equipment, fish and corals. This is an established tank, 5 years old, housing mostly mushroom corals (red, green, and blue), a purple tang, and a goby. The filter is a hang on type, which has been working very nicely, and a Prizm skimmer. There is about 50 lbs of live rock, which are almost entirely covered by mushroom corals. 25 lbs of live sand makes up a nice 2” sand bed. The power compact light was just changed 2 months ago. I am selling everything listed below for $700.
