I am interested in selling my 3 year-old ghetto mantis setup. It's perfect for a mantis, as the tank has scratches (guy I bought it from shipped it with dead coral skeletons rattling around inside an acrylic tank: brilliant, huh?) Outer scratches can be buffed out for sure.
Stats:
5 Gallon Galaxy 5 acrylic tank (Wal-Mart rebranded Eclipse tank)
modded hood: 2x13 PC's (50/50 bulbs)
MiniJet 404 powerhead
Ebo-Jaeger 50w heater
1.5" live Southdown sandbed
Large piece of live rock, several smaller pieces
Still have the original lighting and filtration.
2.5" lollipop green smasher mantis
handful of nassarius snails
large lefty hermit crab
few pieces of anthelia
Macro algae
I run this as a self-contained fuge, for lack of a better term. I harvest the macro weekly for nutrient removal. There's some valonia here & there, but no corals to hurt.
$50 for the whole shooting match, or will trade for special SPS frags.
