I would love the chiller but do you really have to drill a hole in the sump or tank with it?

I never drilled my sump for it since my sump is just a thin-walled aqueon 10 gallon and they crack easily. I had a Tupperware style rectangular container that I drilled it through the bottom so it was like a boat and the chiller probe was like the keel. It worked but I had the boat supported on the side of the tank so it couldn't tip. I only put it in as needed when I wasn't running my A/C. I've seen other jerryrigged setups, but through the side of the sump would be optimal for air flow.
