This is a Euphyllia paradivisa, aka purple tip frogspawn. It currently has two branches that appear as one when they are full open during the day. At the base are 6 - 8 buds that will grow into additional branches themselves, fall off and start new corals or can be cut off and left to attach to rock or substrate on their own. When full-open this coral is about 4" in diameter and cannot touch rock except at the base as it's tissue is very delicate.
Coloration: Below is a link to view two photos; 1 as it appears under 10,000K and the other under actinic 420nm. It is a green frogspawn with multiple tips that are purple-mauve in color.
This coral is used to the following water parameters and lighting:
80-81 degrees
Ph 8.1
SP - 1.0255
Nitrates 0
With other levels being at natural sea water readings.
placed to the far side of 150 wall HQI metal halide, towards the middle of the tank, 6 hours a day. And under 130 watts true actinc PC for 12 hours a day.
Aditional information about it's relationship to my Oceallaris Clowns. They took a liking to both of these corals quickly and it didn't cause any abnormal behavior in the coral, which I think started actually benefitting from the relationship. They started feeding it bits of food, which is when it started producing the buds.
$40 pick up only in Park Slope Brooklyn
Or I am open to trade a specific coral that I have been having a hard time finding: Blue or purple plating montipora. Or you could try just throwing something at me (not too hard!) : ) ...and we'll see.
I think I included any information you could possibly need, but if there is a question I missed, feel free to zip me an email or message.
