Hi Alex..

Really I would be really interested since I have a 55 gallon tank. Is the fish aggressive I try to keep my tank friendly with my mandareen dragon.

Danny, depends on the size of the mandarin. He will only eat what he can suck into his mouth. He's not huge though.

55 might be a little small in the long run too, but, as I said, in a 55 with just a mandarin, he'll be fine for a while.

If he turns out to be too big, well, you'll have a $350 fish to sell to Bob 1000.

Actually my mandarine is doing really well and is about close to 2"1/2. He only eats pods and will not take mysis or brine. This April we'll be celebrating his 1 year and my 32 years hehe!. my tank has been pretty good with producing pods all over its almost infested i would think.

I would really want to try it when can I pick it up?

bad idea I know the idea of something free sounds good but if so excited about seeing your manderin live to his one year in your tank you will not add a grouper as a tank mate Also a 55 is way too small for this fish keep in mind it is a grouper they grow to extraordinary sizes and do not belong in home aquariums

Just my .02

Yea Bob I took him! at the moment he's not that big he's 3 inches and I won't keep him for long since I know he'll grow. Right now he swims fine next to my manderine and doesn't bother him. I read about him and 55 gal is a starting range size for him to swim in since its 4 feet long. I have a lot of live rocks so he has a lot to hide and swim around.

If you really want him I'll sell it to you first when he's a little bigger.

thanks Alex!
