I know this is a saltwater site, but anyone interested in a 15" freshwater Pacu? Beautiful fish and a great conversation piece. Free to a good home (if you're feeling gererous you'll trade for a frag or something saltwater related).

hey, hey watch it there!(one of my favorite freshwater fish). One of the best fish to keep and watch grow from small. I'm only giving him away because it's to much work to maintain a saltwater and freshwater tank.

You guys are exaggerating about the Pacu. I have in a 75 galloon tank right now, a 55 gallon would be to small. Since I got him he was in there with about 5 other oscars and about 3 plecos. I recently got rid of all of the other fish because I'm getting rid of the freshwater tank. The Pacu dosen't "smash" the side of the tank etc...nor does he/did he go hunting. I would rather give him to someone who would enjoy him than trade him into the LFS for credit.

Jav,

I'm not quite sure if he can stay in a tank with the African Ciclids. I attempted to donate him to the childrens section in the Central Library in Jamaica Queens, there is a huge tank for the kids to watch (400+ gallons). After speaking with the librarian, she said that the guy who maintains the tank didn't think that they were compatable (ph paramiters etc.) and I left it at that. Plus a 55 gallon is to small for him.
