reef octopus HOB 100 and koralia 3

I have a reef octopus HOB 100 rated for 90 gallons this is a hang on back skimmer. This skimmer is almost new less then a years. skims like crazy will pull out dark water out of you system quick i hated to part out but I got a great deal on a vertex in 100 hopes it skims like the octopus. then I got a koralia 3 3 months old use only a month in the tank.
