My anemone split the other day. I'm pretty sure it's a long tentacle anemone. I want to use the opportunity to get rid of on half, since I caught it when it was on a small piece of rock and could be easily removed.

Also want to sell my larger Ocellaris clown with the anem. Clown is about 3" long, and was fairly aggressive in my tank. Seperated from its buddy maybe she won't be so nasty. Clown on right is the one being sold.

Would like $35 for both. Pickup in NJ 07632 or I can meet nearby.

thanks,
Jan

Thanks for your input, I appreciate advice from more experienced folks!

The clowns have been together for about 2 years, and I have had the anemone for about 1.5 years. Took a good 3 months for the clowns to get into the anemone. So I guess they have had ample time to mate if they were going to.
I had learned earlier that the bigger one would "become" the female and would be more aggressive. This fish did severely attack several blue green chromis not long ago. I believe it might mellow out when the pair is separated?

It may, it may not.
It could take a while for them to lay eggs. But you are right, they may never.

I have mixed blue green chromis and a mated pair of clowns. The chromis are becoming preyed upon. But I like my clowns breeding more than the chromis.

Chances are good that the next clown you get could do the same thing. It would be better to remove both clowns and start over. Buy two young clowns from the same brood.
