I picked up a 10gal, 20 high, and 40 breeder from Petco today. Now I just have to find a home for the brand new 30 Breeder I was going to make into my sump...

And bonus for me- I just looked at my receipt and realized I didn't pay for the dog food that was on the bottom of the cart. That just paid for two of my tanks!! Hahah.

Just came from the Petco at Union Sq. in Manhattan. They said the $1/g sale will be going on for another month. But the flyer said until January 15th. Seems like a good deal for some hospital tanks. But then again so is a Styrofoam cooler.

Union Square managers are very accommodating to this sale,
all willing to special order anything they don't have in stock.
the managers at the College Point store are complete tools.
they made up some cock and bull story that 40 breeders were
not included in the sale, when they are clearly written in the ad.

Just go to petsmart and tell then the Petco is having a sale on their fish tank . And 7 out of 10 the will prize match and they will go up to 75gallos.

I've heard PetSmart price match Petco back when Petco's sale was up to 75gal years ago, but ever since they capped it at 55gal, I have not heard of anyone getting $1/gal 75's accept from thatpetplace in Lancaster PA. generally PetSmart/Petco will only pricematch a tank sold by a competitor within your city. They really should all do it to 75gal, as that size appears to be a thin glass frame tank with the same profit margins and target market as a 55gal. If anyone can get a PetSmart manager at any of the 3 NYC stores to do a $75 deal this Month, please let us know the manager name and store location. I can get a 75gal for $130 locally, so a $75 price may not be worth it for me since it will cost a $40 car service just to get that 100 pound tank home...
