Hello All!

I'm going to be leaving New York. Rather than go through the bother of moving my tank and all my livestock across the country, I've decided to sell off everything and start over again after the move. As such, I've sold off all my livestock. Now it's time for the hardware. Here's what I'm selling:

I spent last winter building this LED light and entered it into the CR DIY Contest. I was well in the lead for the first 29 days of the contest, but someone else somehow got like 8 votes in the last two days. So, it took second place. Here is a link to the build so that you can see the details:

I made it for my JBJ Picotope and it fits nice and snug. I'm selling the light and JBJ for $275. If you just want the light, you can have it for $250, but they really make a nice pair. The light is strong enough to keep the most demanding SPS or Clams and the color is AMAZING!

Here are some specks:
2x Cree XRE Neutral White on a 1000mA dimmable Buckpuck driver
1x Cree XRE Cool Blue on a 500mA dimmable Buckpuck driver
4x Cree XRE Royal Blue on a 1000mA dimmable Buckpuck driver
I hand sawed and sanded all the acrylic pieces.
The knobs for the potentiometers (dimming) were hand sculpted out of polymer clay.
All the drivers and fan are hooked up to their own power supplies. So, you can use timers to create a sunrise/sunset senario.
The fan on top has it's own blue LED's which adds a nice effect.

PM any questions you have. I'm moving this weekend. So, it's got to go this week or I'm taking it with me. I also have an Aqua Clear 70 modified into a fuge that I used with the picotope for Chaeto, the heater, filter floss, and carbon. I'll add that to the package for an extra $20.

Thanks! My wife said it looked like an ATAT. LOL

The reason it's so big on top is because I used a heat sink from an old computer. The block is thick and the fins are high. It can handle a lot of heat! One of the LED gurus advising me said that I could have lined the whole thing with emitters and they still would have lasted forever. Also, the potentiometers and drivers are built right into the unit.
