Is a 5500K 175w enought light to run a 30 gallon tank with softies?

I'm more concerned about the 5500K color lighting...

I ran those with Normal Output actinics for years with great results with leathers etc... The color looks good IMO. Yellow by themselves

The reason I ask is because I read up on a thread about buying MV ballast that run 5500K 175 w MV lights. The whole lighting setup runs for only $20!

The 55k is very yellow. But for that price it may be worth getting and upgrading to a 10k.The 10k has a very nice look by its self.Just my 2 cents worth.hehe

I have used the Hamilton 5500k bulbs with Pc actinics in the past with great results and growth. I don't know of other 5500k bulbs but the Hamilton's looked nice with a little actinic.
