gfo affecting sps?

Ive noticed the last 3 days my polyp extension is abismal. I tested and everything is where it should be. Even did a pretty big water change. HOwever i noticed the flow on my phosban reactor was a litte too high. Could the possible grinding of gfo in my reactor be subsequently affecting my polyp extension?
