Alk 10.9, cal 450, mag1350, Nitrate 0, nitrites 0, Phosphate .02 Ph 8.2, temp 79, amd I use Metal Halides 400 watt some of my acros have been there for years. nothing else seems to be affected. Monti's are all good, softies are good, all fish are well. I'm thinking some kinda of pest, but I can't see anything!

doubt that any pest will cause a meltdown, red bugs simply make the acros polyps retract and AEFW will leave a trail of flesh missing but will not cause a meltdown...

other things to look into is current, if you can check there is no voltage in the water, sudden changes in salinity, sudden changes in temperature, a broken heater, a broken pump

what type of spectrum are you using, how old are the bulbs, how long do you have the lights on, and have you recently changed salts. Aside form asking what are you using to test all the parameters of your tank, you seemed to have told us everything else.

Switched to 20K about 4 months ago, and I have only used Reef Crystals from the start. I have also been running GFO continually since I started the tank. I run a very large reactor. My PO4 is always very low. So I have stopped running it.
I'm just grasping at anything now.
I run the lights on a 5 hour summer cycle to reduce heat and then I go to six hours in the winter.

When my acros RTN'd it was because of an alkalinity swing. Check that parameter several times, or better yet, if you have access to a 2nd test kit; compare the 2 results.
