sps on sand bed

could a 6 bulb t5 elite tek light grow a valida on the sand bed? or supply enough light for one to thrive. i just bought one and i really want to keep it on the sand bed just wanted to get your guys opinion? standard 75 gallon tank.

i dont think so but you could give it a shot and keep a close eye on it and see how it handles down there...

Keeping in mind that this is not one of the easiest SPS corals to grow and understanding that SPS are usually placed in the upper half to 3rd of the aquascaping, not sure why you want to place this one on the sandbed?

Do you have a lot of flow along the surface of the sandbed?

yes alot of flow, and i just liked the look of it there. kind of running out of room in the rocks lol. and these stupid frag plugs i cant glue em anywhere.
