What's my efflo doing

So I bought a wild efflo about 2 months ago its doing great I got a ton of new growth on it .I came home and this is what I seen .looks like white silky stings coning from the tips .anyone ever seen this happen to there sps

i've seen this before not really sure what it is but i usually take a turkey baster and just blast the colony

Can't tell if those are sweepers or slime. Was it recently exposed to air/did you just do a water change?

blast it off and get ready to frag. it happen to me once to my stag horn. if the slim continue to grown frag it and save whatever you can.

I def ain't fragging it looks like its maybe spawning each string is coming out od each polyp. It amost looks like it sent strings out to catch food ..

you need to check your Alkalinity that could be one issue where SPS suffer from hight ALk
do not blast it off it would not make it better or go away ! check your ALK and CAL and PH

I dont think its a bad thing. Everyone is freaking out lol. I've had this happen to my colonies and nothing bad happen. Usually after air exposure or searching for food.

Alks good cal mag everythings on the money .to me looks like its searching for food or spawning I don't think its a bad thing at all .but its funny how we are so paranoid lol

I've had this happen to a few acros before. I've seen filaments come out when either they are touching another coral or there has been a feeding of a small particle food. Like oyster feast or coral frenzy. Sometimes seen them come out when my stomatella snails spawn in the tank

Yeah man $45 bucks from aquirium village .can't beat it man its doing awsome I figured it would loss some color cause its a wild colony but so far its been coloring up even more ..ill try and get a top down pic

Charlie...my Efflo did the same thing a couple of times when I first got it.... a year later
I think it's doing fine. Still don't know if it was being irratated or trying to catch food...it likes strong flow and med to strong light.
