ITS the mari cultured ones grown in the ocean, they sell pretty cheap.I have a few I lost one,to stn one to rtn. the rtn was my fault on gfo change. One acro faded but im not sure its the corals fault..I had the phos get high. For the price you really cant beat it if one goes here or there .I have 3 that are doing great color and growth.

personally i think they only intitially take to MH to keep that color, but i will say ive seen them come back from color to brown to back to color under leds with good parameters. remember the type of flow and water conditions they come from,

I have mh and t5 I got like a 75% success rate out of the ones I bought so far, they get a week on the sandbed center of tank w good flow then I creep them up to where I want them.I also acclimate them real slow, the dip is pro the most stress the coral goes before the display.Try to get them when they arrive to the lfs,the ones I lost been in the store for a while, the ones I when they were shipped,I had better luck with.

Maricultured colonies are not tank raised frags. They will usually lose or change color as they react to your lighting and nutrient level. In my tank now I have 2 different hoeks doing well(6months), abrotonoides that lost pink tips but is encrusting all over (6months), efflo that lost its purple tips but is gaining them back (6months), Yellow milli growing like weed color has actually improved (4months), teal stag turned brown with some STN recovering and coloring up again (3 months), Blue tenuis growing super fast and colorful (6months).
I have more trouble with Aussie SPS. My system is still young and not very stable so It may just be me.

I have mixed reviews on them...some I've lost while others do very well...but one thing they all have in common for me is they never stayed the same color as when I purchased them....some have browned out while others became even more colorful...

i have all different types of sps, i have several maricultured and to tell u the truth they look amazing full of color.. I think as long as you get them to live the first month, its easy as long as everything else is in check,,
its so hard w sps and tank talk... we all do so many different things,, from lighting,, water quality, flow, dosing, carbon dosing.

This is why I do not sell MC sps . I do buy them but I rarely sell them before I get them through acclimation imo its between 6-9mo before they are stable.

Many mari corals are raised in shallow waters close to shore for ease of work. imagine the change from that place to our tanks.
