i keep a mixed reef in my 8 gallon biocube. 30% sps, 40% lps, 30% softies. neon goby, talbots damsel, purple stripe dottyback, tail spot blenny.

Nuvo 20 2 AI Primes

Nuvo 20 running 2 AI Primes. Adding sps slowly. The sps are holding color but growing a tad slow.

Looks awesome. Do you dose anything in the 20g nano? What's your maintenance plan and what do you do for nutrient export?

20 gallon nuvo with 2 AI primes
Smart ATO
Jebao Rw4
Sicce 1.0 pump through 1 spin stream nozzle
Tunze 9001 skimmer
Bi weekly water changes with redsea pro salt
dosing 10 Ml of ESV two part daily
2 intank media baskets with Purigen and chemipure elite and blue/white filter pads. This is the first tank Ive used purigen with and I am happy wth the results. My Nitrates, nitrates and ammonia is always 0ppm. When the purigen gets exhausted nitrates easilly go up to about over 40ppm. I feed LRS and dry pellets 2 to 3 times daily
I want to start trying to lower the PO4 to see if sps growth will increase. The last time I measured it was over 1.0 on a hannah checker.

Thanks for the detail info. With all equipment and maintenance, thats quite a nano system.

I have a Reefer Nano 28g that I'm trying to run very basic. I've been struggling with nutrients for the past year, even with 5g weekly water changes. But I'm not running it with a skimmer. I just recently started growing chaeto in the sump, so I guess I'll wait and see results. If or when the hair algae clears up, maybe I'll get a picture worthwhile for this thread.
