so I went by a LFS and was looking into their tanks and spotted what look like a purple bonsai (a few tips were still purple, polyps were green and I've had one prior and grew in same shape). It look like it fell onto a lps and went to war. 90+% of the coral was browned out 5% white. this tank was 99% LPS with that coral being the exception.
I figured I would be better suited to try to recover the coral. I asked for a price and was told lowest they could go was 45, original price of 80. No way was it worth 45. At best, 20 bucks with a 80+% chance of death.
anyone else deal with that before? I felt pissed at such a bad offer when I know its just going to die.
they also had no clue it was browning out. they are going to get some unsuspecting noob as well.
I should have said browning out sps not bleaching. sorry!
