I was interested to read a summary of Eric Borneman's talk during MACNA about the toxins of SPS...
(full summary here: http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2002-10/k ... /index.htm)
I have seen evidence of this in my own tank, as most of my healthy Acropora and Millipora species will aggressively sting montipora species that they come into contact with... the Acropora sp. will do fine, but the montipora will slime and eventually die off to the skeleton... I think some people have had problems with this type of event then leading to RTN of the weaker coral... I try to catch it before it gets to this stage!!
