I have a yellow porites/montipora (unknown as to what it is) that has about 10 branches. One has algae growing on the end, and the others have polyps covering them. Should I just snap off the end with the alage? Any attempts to get the algae off underwater have been unsuccessful.

Thanks for the advice.

Peace,

I would break it off and toss it ASAP. Otherwise you run the risk if the algea spreading thoughout the colony, which would suck.
