Fragged my Birdsnest SPS

I finally got up the courage to frag my birdsnest. I mounted the 1/2 in frag on a wall anchor with super glue. Hope it grows as well as the colony has. 1.5 yrs ago it was only 1 inch itself from drsfostersmith.com.

Please dont tell me your going to mount that to a piece of sheetrock for safer shipping :lol: . I have to ask. Why a wall anchor of all things? BTW. Nice healthy looking corals.

haha yea.

im not shipping it.. just trying to grow in a few places. A wall anchor... because it screws into the live rock and holds the little frag quite nicely!

I thought it was a great idea haha.

I'll post some more coral pics tonight!!!

8O I thought the anchor was a snail shell.

Now, are you sure the anchor is rated for the weight of the frag? :lol:

Did you drill the LR? Or did it simply conform to a crack in it? Sounds like it will work just fine. Good idea. :wink:

heres some more coral. They arent expanded very well today. My fan didnt come on and I just discovered im around 90 degrees haha.. hopefully everything will bounce back tomorrow. There are lots more coral in the tank, these are just some i could phot easily.

Going the Home Depot for wall anchor is sure a lot more macho than going to Joan's Fabric and ask for some stocking. :lol:
