For those of you who have SPS's in your tank how often do you do water changes?

A LFS guy recently told me 10% once a week, but I'm not sure I agree with that. That being said his SPS's look great.

What do you think?

It depends on you. I did a 10% per week on my last tank and that was fine. Once the new tank I plan on a 20% every other week.

so that often hugh.

ive always done about %15 every month.

I guess it really depends on fish load too.

i only have 2 tomato clowns in 80 g of water.

It depends on what works on your tank. On my 110 I did a 15% about once every 3 weeks. On the 60 I had issues and did the weekly thing to try to get them in check. I would like to go with a water changes every 3 weeks on the new tank, but will have to see how things work out.

Whatever it is for me, it's probably not often enough.

Actually I do about 25% every month. Mostly its a time matter since with a larger tank >100g doing any large change is matter of convience. Although if i did 5-10% per week I probably would be doing ok.

I do about 15% a month. I just removed my tang from the tank though so I will probably do less than that now. He was a large contributor to my detrius.

I do a 120G WC on my 300 every month. My total system volume with the tank, sump and fuge is about 475G. That that is roughly a 25% WC. I do it religously. My tank might be considered lightly stocked with fish. I have only 10 fish. Only four of those are considered big eaters (foxface rabbitfish, harlequin tusk, sailfin tang and atlantic blue tang).
