I currently have a modified Red Sea Max with a refugium and a total water volume of about 50 gallons. The main display area is 29 gallons. I have a mix of SPS and softies, but I'm going to pretty much go with 90% SPS. I want to get rid of most of the softies due to chemical warefare. My favorite of my current corals are GSP's, a few blue shrooms and pulsing xenia. Do you think I'll be ok to keep these with the SPS's I will acquire in the future?

Thanks so much!
Woody

Oh, I also have an octopus skimmer, a UV sterilizer and will be adding Ozone soon.......

I dunno, you choice of softies to keep seem to be ones that have a habit not so much for chemical warfare but for multiplying and growing rather rapidly (aka being invasive)..

But hey, not every tank is the same, as long as you realize to prune back when they start getting too close for comfort.

 I truely was thinking only of chemical warfare. In my SPS tank the xenia is my plague and the GSP does grow somewhat well. I dont have any mushrooms but most agree that they are also a plague once introduced to a tank. Good points.

LOL thats pretty funny. We know where your mind is though...

As for your tank, I keep SPS, Zoos, Mushrooms and other softies and never have had any problems. I only hear that your zoo's and Leathers have warfare. Run carbon if your concerned about it.
