I know guys like you.

You think only things that are hard are right for your aquarium? Things that solid and strong?

Is it possible that something soft, and pink, and delicate can be considered desirable in your reef tank?

Is it color you desire in your reef? Is color only supplied by things that are firm and upright? Can something bright and alluring also turn you on?

Is it size that lights your fire? Something large and massive?

Or can small, delicate and soft also be intriguing?

Really? Tiny, tender and soft doesn't cause a stirring in you?

Yes! I picked that name after a concert, and was a bit buzzed. Sober, maybe it's not the best?

Are you an SPS guy, Ape? Are you convinced that hard and firm are the only beautiful things in a reef tank? Is there room for something a bit more fragile and flowing?

I wonder about this image: Something soft, delicate and alluring being partially covered by something lacey, allowing a bit of tissue to peek out while hiding what's to come?

I've not got an aquarium even now. Nothing hard, nothing soft.

Well, it could be your lighting, your alk/ca/mg levels, your circulation, your nutrient levels, chemical warfare, among others. :D

It's usually easier to keep softies and LPS. ;)

Stick with what works. Some people have a knack for softies, some for stonies. Some even kill everything. I cant grow a mushroom for the life of me, and most of the leathers Ive had were never truely happy. Most of my SPS grow like weeds. Well, in terms of SPS anyway.

Loved the presentation BTW.

honestly kenya trees, bubble coral, clauvaria, and macros...does not do anything for me. rare color morphs here and there do, but once you've seen them and kept them you've pretty much seen them all.

acropora echinata...now you've got my attenction :)

dendronepthya...you've got me attention too ;)

Hey, don't get me wrong, guys. I know there is a time and a place for rigid, unmoving, unyielding parts in our aquariums. I have a tank full of them, too.

I wonder if some might be enchanted by something that fluoresces in the moonlight?

I like softies, too, but my Xenias reproduce so fast I can't keep up with them. On the other hand, I can't seem to stabilize a corallimorph to save my life. My mushrooms just wax and wane, wax and wane... :?

LPS are great, too!

What about clams? Hard and soft...the perfect combination.
