High Kh for SPS Color?

I was reading that some believe that keeping your Kh high is beneficial for keeping better SPS color retention. Any thought on that?

I've never noticed a correlation personally. Given that and the many coloful SPS tanks that run at regular seawater levels, personally, I don't see a reason to do it.

Something else to think about - some SPS keepers have reported increases in RTN/STN events at elevated levels, so even if there were some benefits, it may not be worth the potential downsides...
