Hello everyone, I'm in need of finding a highly efficient Protein Skimmer that can be hooked up to my JBJ 28 gallon Nano Reef Aquarium. Due to the size restrictions and inability to plumb into a sump my options are somewhat limited. I would prefer a Recirculating Protein Skimmer but beggers can't be picky. I have selected some options and any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Jason,

Not sure if this is an option you want to explore but you could always have any type of skimmer above the aquarium and have a pump send water up to it. Then the water would just drain back down into the tank. You could probably make a nice cabinet for it above the nano if you want.

BTW, nice family pics!

are you sure the tunze even fits in the back chambers of the 28g? I have a 28g nanocube as well and the stock skimmer actually works preaty well, but the air pump is too loud so I'm also looking to replace it as well.

Jaon I had the remora (still do) and I have the Tunse 9002 running in the tank. I like them both but in the interest of space and room etc I like the tunze better. I wanted to get away from HOB stuff, still do the tunze pulls some great stuff too as did the Remora. Check out my tank thread to see how nice the Tunze looks in my 24g.
