Birdsnest Prob

My Pink Birdsnest began bleaching out from the bottom and it spread even further over night. Any ideas? All other corals are fine and so are water levels.

I had this problem with my pink birds nest and all other sps were fine . Went crazy and all water par were fine checked the tank and found pennys in the tank that was the problem .Took them out and did water changes back to back for 3 day and all was fine after that . Check you tank make sure nothing is in the tank and do some water changes and new carbon there some toxins in the tank thats affecting the birds nest.

It's unlikely that either light or temperature are the issue if the colony has been in the tank with those parameters for a while. Plus, light-based bleaching generally happens from the top down, not the reverse.

I've seen low Mg be associated with color loss, too.
