Your piece came straight from the ocean so it receives a lot more water flow which causes the growth to be more bunched. It has the same corallite structure as mine.
what makes you think it is wild? the guy i got it from had it for years in his tank but then i don't know for sure all i know is the color i have yet to see on an acro without photo shop..my hawkins isn't even that tight branches are like yours well placed..thanks for the tips i am just glad it is doing well..

one thing for sure it has no flatworms . I recently had an outbreak of aefw and seems the only corals that got hit where the millepora my slimer didn't get any neither did this turaki? my millepora lost some color over the stress of me basting them and dipping them but they are on the rebound yeah..
