I have a 2 sps ( dont know the name of them ) frags that have green algae on it. What do I do to get it off? Sorry for the bad pix.

this came out of an old setup. Its now in my 60 cube. it only was running for 2 wks maybe. I did used some of my old water and live rock. I'm going to get some hermits. My other sps frags are good. But than again i just got them last week.

Sure, adding hermits and lowering N&P are all good things in the long run. But that's not gonna help your acro's all that quickly. For now, I'd take 2 cups of tank water in a bowl, mix in 5 ml of hydrogen peroxide (or more if needed) and watch the algae bubble away.

Then work on the water parameters over time.

If its on the actually SPS frag I would cut that portion of the frag off. If its on the plug then if its not encrusted reglue to a new plug. Finally, you can dip in coralrx cut if nitrates and phosphates are an issue algae will come back again.

How long do I let it sit in the peroxide? And will it do more harm to the coral than just cutting the dead off?

I would check your levels and get them straight before adding more frags or fish (increased bioload isn't going to help the water quality any) to the tank. A clean-up crew is good advice to deal with the algae but the root cause of it is much more important imo as some here have stated.
