which one is it med or intense........

Medium light and medium flow. It's actually a pretty easy SPS and good grower.
I don't know your experience level, but a green birdsnest is relativly easy for people keeping SPS. That means, Calcium 400+, Alk 8 dkh, Mg 1300, low phosphates and nitrates. Lots of flow and intense lighting.

Kal, when I said intense I was referring to what most SPS keepers have over their tanks. If that is the case, you can put the green birdsnest in an area of medium light. Sorry for the confusion.

I have about 5-6 different species of BNs in my tank and although they will grow and do well almost anywhere as long as the water parameters are good...many will just look alot better once you find the sweet spot for them. Here are some examples with my lighting...ORA Hyancinth looks better lower, ORA Green in the middle, pink up high, ORA BoP high, limeade low and I got a nice mini colony of Jason Fox's glowing fingers and still can't find a good spot for it....but they all like good alternating flow especially the BoP...HTH

I have done alot of research on birdsnest . One there not easy to keep thay are very sensitives and RTN very easily and alway get a illnesses . Alot of people have problems keeping birdnest . So your not the only one . Some have said thay had them for 6m to a year then all of a sudden it starts to die this is a common problem with Birdsnest (Seriatopora hystrix)

x2..they are an SPS and need good water parameters...some are slow growers and others are just weeds like the thinner branched hystrix speces.

a constant high flow isn't good for any coral...alternating or on and off will be alot better...my BoP gets blasted with high flow from a power head every 2-3 min and never looked better...
