is it wise to be dosing kalk with nothing in the tank? u have a 55g but not really much in there.

Why is it wise to do that? Wouldn't that be a good thing especially to rise the calcium level so I will be able to keep Sps later on in my tank.

Have you checked your levels, you dont seem to have much in your tank so i assume your not using much. The kalk will raise both alk and calcium not just calcium. When your levels start to decrease alot per day making it hard to dose thats when you will have to consider kalk or something else, like doser pumps or reactor. Agree with rbtwo4 seems premature. If your going to start using dont over dose.

You think so? its been like that for the past 4 months already...I thought it was like that since i feed it and it eat and it extents its tentacles too.

It need to get its zooaxanthelle(sp?) back. Thats where the corals get their color from. In some cases, like excessive heat, stress, too much or too little light, etc., the zooax will expell from the coral. From my understanding, the only way to get it back is from another coral of the same species( I could be wrong on this tho). Keep an eye on it and maybe get a frag of a frogspawn and put it next to it. Good luck

Well just place an order from doctor and foster website to get the Cyano Solution thanks to Gary and also ordered a KoralColor from Brightwell aquatics for my frogspawn to see if it gets its coral back again. But my total came out to 36.00 buck but thank god I still had my 20.00 Gift Certificate from doctor and foster so my total got reduced to 16.00 bucks =D
