Hello reefer, here is my solana build. Its up and running for 8 months after my upgrade from a Mr aqua 12 long. I have always been taking pictures of the tank but i never took the time to make a thread for it. well, here it is.

its not tampered dont be fooled =P i seen a lot of solana drilled. well worth the effort:smoker:

I hear the new version solanas are ok to drill but I don't know which one I have because the new ones don't have the black divider in the back like mine but your also has a divider. Where did u drill on bottom or back wall ?

i have the old version, i wont take chance for the bottom tho. but the sidewalls are def non-tampered

another update. my tank had crashed due to bio pellet. all my sps is gone and now only left with few lps. need to find a way to cool the tank down. so i mod few case fan on top of my tank. let me know what u guys think =].

How mich biopellwts are you using and what brand?

using about 100ml of TLF npx i got about 40gallon of water volume.

Why even use bio pellets if you got a bare bottom tank WC should take care of any nitrates u might worry about. Imo. I say just use GFO in reactor.

i agree with you. but my phosphate wont go down. gfo just aint cutting it down like biopellets did.:skull:

after tons of adjustment and water change, things are back on the right track. hopfuly it will be all uphill from here
