I was running halides since the beginning in 2006 but one of the ballasts stop firing and I could not find a replacement at the time. I was running T5's on my frag tanks at the time and decided to make the switch. My next tank (250 gallons will run halides as there are now ballasts in stock at many vendors). I live outside of Philly.
