Live Sand (Mass): 10 lbs crushed coral(coarse),10 lbs crushed coral(sugar sized)and 2 lbs live sand in main tank(1" depth). 40 lbs southdown tropical playsand in middle of sump(4" depth) with 3lbs live sand.

Lighting (Type | Wattage | Photoperiod): 5500k MH 175 watt on 10 hours, 6700k 28 watt PC and 7100k 28 watt PC on 12 hours. Sump is lighted with 6700k 27 watt quad PC reverse photoperiod.

Protein Skimmer (Brand | Model): CPR SR2 in sump skimmer powered with RIO 600

Fish : Coral Beauty, Green Mandarin
Corals : Xenia elongata, Xenia umbellata, Anthelia glauca, 4 types of mushrooms, brown button polyps, green button polyps, green star polyps, toadstool leather, 2 types of finger coral, closed brain, trumpet coral, 2 types of encrusting porites.

Invertebrates : lots of strombus snails, trochus, hawaiian turbos, nassarius and cerith snails. Dozen hermits, left hand, blue leg and Calcinus hermits. Pair of peppermint shrimp.

Maintenance Program : I do water topoff with RO/DI kalkwasser, 1 tsp kalk per gal. Evap. rate around 1/2 gallon per day. 4 gallon water change bimonthly(usually using well water), 1/4 cup carbon change once a month. Clean skimmer when needed. I test calcium, alk, pH once a week, everything else once a month. Pull xenia, anthelia, and macroalgae when needed.

Additional Information : This tank was torn down on 4-21-02 and transferred to a 55 gallon.
