Maintenance Program : 10% Water change once a month - clean skimmer weekly, siphon detritus out of sump whenever I remember too, currently using Kalk for topoff but will have a Ca Reactor going on-line in the next few weeks.
Additional Information : All replacement water is RO/DI - level is kept constant by Tunze osmolator which doses water to DIY Kalkreactor which feeds into sump. Korallin Ca reactor and Tunze CO2 Controller going in soon. Durso overflows installed in place of noisy Oceanic stock overflows - tank has no bracing just 3/4" glass and is ridiculously solid and heavy. Stand is 96", tank takes up first 72" and 24" refugium takes up last 2 feet. Also planning on putting small cryptic filter inline under tank if I can find room and a way to plumb it. Will be trying a micron bag under return lines in sump to see if I can cut down on some of the fine particulate matter. A few of the fish are going to come out soon if I can find a good home for them - likely the fairy wrasse (skittish and gets picked on) and dwarf lion (I want to get a few more rainfords and when he gets bigger I am sure the smaller fish will be in danger), possibly the betta too (one of my favorites but gets outcompted for food very easily). The yellow gobies have been spawning often over the past 2 years I've had them and I may move them to their own tank eventually and try to raise some of the fry.
