Nice,
What are you researching? (tell us more than just 'corals'). Are those 3 surge tanks up above? Each of your sumps has a vial with liquid in it, what are those for?

Yea, those are surge makers. The flasks are bubblers that I use to put CO2 into my CaCO3 reactors.
Most of the research will involve some form of coral bleaching. Other project include GFPs (glyco florecent proteins), PCD (programmed cell death), effects of Copper and other metals, I think someone will be taking cores of my sand bed for a microbial study, etc. etc. There is a lot that will be going on soon. These are relatively new systems (been up for about 6-7 months), so as time goes on and research grants are written, more and more studies will be done. For now, my main goal is propagation, because when experiments begin, I need to provide a lot of specimens.

what a cool job. you get to take work home? hehe....

Yea, many of my co-workers at the institute have requested some for their home aquariums. My most popular is my Xenia. It went from a very sickly looking tiny piece, barely pulsating its less then a dozen arms, to several dozen glass crawling, happy colonies which I have to fragment and move around because they are doing so well, i've even tried putting some in my sumps but have found that the crabs in my sump love to eat unhealthy recently fragmented Xenia.
