That makes sense. Hopefully I won't have too much trouble with it spreading too much; the colony I have doesn't have too much room to spread at this point. I'll have to see I guess. I liked all of the information on the snails! My cerith snail egg bundles haven't produced anything yet. However--recently I found a snail "hitchhiker" that looked a lot like a small turbo. I do have two large turbos in the tank. I hadn't heard of them breeding, but I just don't know what else it could be... very strange!

If you don't mind, keep me informed on this small turbo. If it does grow up to look like your adults I would be interested in seeing pics.

While my skimmer does a good job, with my current setup not all of the tank water goes through the skimmer, I think that helps my snails breed and is a benefit to my filter feeders. Unless I see massive algae problems later I'm going to keep it this way.
