58 Gallon as a first tank.

Thought I may try my hand at this Members tank thread. This is my first SW tank. 58 Gallon oceanic with approx 50 pounds of LR, 2 inch live sand bed.

Lighting: 198 Watt Coralife PC

Filtration: Emporor 400, AquaC Remora Skimmer, Maxi Jet 900

Stock: Pair of Amphiprion ocellaris, One Chrysiptera parasema, some Polyps, 4 Clibanarius vittatus Hermit Crabs, and a few Bumblebee snails.

Tend to stock up some coral bro???

Yes. Coral is coming. I am just waiting to let the system settle down. Having some amonia trouble for now. Also, I will be rearrainging/adding some better LR in order to make space for some coral shelves and such. Looking at all the member tanks has inspired me.

Update: Just added several items. I know I should have done it over time but I found a great deal.

Folded Brain Coral
Kole Tang
Mandarin
Clown Gobies
Several Button Polyps
Some type of soft coral. Kenya Tree I think.

Time for an update I suppose. The tank is doing well now. Had some odd bacterial infection from the fish I got months ago. Everyone died but the Cave Goby. The corals are all fine though. Also, I gave a few of the fish to a LFS and 8O the infection killed all of their fish. About 60 fish overall. 8O Uh... Sorry? Hate that. Owner, who is a freind of mine said it was his fault as he should have QT'd the fish. He assumed they were healthy just like me. I feel terrible honestly. The only other MIA's are an Orange Linkia starfish and one Huge emerald crab. Can't find either after a week long vacation a few weeks ago.

I did some rock adjusting, trying to make more caves and overhangs. Here is is today: Note the nasty hair algae spreading and the Macros in the corners to combat this.
