hi guys...thought i'd add a few piccies to the site from accross the water.

the tank is currently recovering after a nightmare using flatworm exit.
one naso tang died...euphillias withdrew into coral skeleton and ALL SPS went dark brown in less than 24 hours.

this is the result of three weeks hard work changing water etc and colour is finally returning.
:D

im bored at work so i thought i'd add a few recent pics.
i've been adding sand gradually after honestly hating the egg crate bare bottomed look of the tank....seemed a good idea during set up but it's being covered by adding a few mug fulls of sand every few days so 's not to upset the ballance of the tank
I CANT WAIT TO SEE THAT STUFF HIDDEN NOW THOUGH!

im currently going for a 'diferent' lighting approach as an experiment on colour and growth.
2 x 250w 20k XM lamps
1 x 54w 10k t5
1 x 54w 14k t5

it's a bit 'backwards' compared to the norm but i am definetley impressed with the improved sps colour and growth in the last two monts.
(just waiting to see the long term implications before deciding whether or not to go back to the giesemann megacrome coral 14 lamps or not next time?)

anyway...hope you enjoy and my appologies at my lack of camera skills and hardware.

looks 1000x better with the sand in, one of the nicest tanks i've seen. Only thing that would improve it is if it was in-wall :)

not been on for a while so thanks for the praise guys.
'in wall' was not an option as i live in a 300 year old house with 3ft walls and restricted status with regards to alterations sadly.....if i moved walls etc...i would be prosecuted!

here's a couple more shots i rattled off a few days ago when i finally added a RBTA after an 18 months wait for the tank to be ready.
wish me luck as she's a beaut!
