OK Eveyone wanted to know about and see the new Solaris LED light in action.

Before you look at the picture, there was a small issue with my light from manufacturing that left (2) sections of the light quit dim. This was due to a wiring miss hap that PFO is resolving as we speak. These lights were in such demand that PFO was needing to get them out ASAP. Of course as this setup is new to the market small things such as this are to be expected in there first releases so don't let this discourage you in any means from buying one.

Heat ??? There is absolutely NO heat being transfered from these lights what so ever. I have an ETSS 600 Pro skimmer running a BlueLine 50HD pump with the ETSS 72 Pro sump running a BluelIne 70 return pump that seems to be generating my heat. At this point while I am still simply curing my tank and waiting for it to cycle I currently run 84 Degrees F. Plans are within the next couple days to add some fans to see if that will cool things down. If not I will have to move to a chiller.

Do they add shimmer to the tank ? Hell yes.. with very little surface movement you get TONS of glitter..

I got the light from PremiumAquatics.com. Talk to Michelle or Jeromy. Hate to say it but after spending all this money on not just the light, but rock and sand. Jason was a complete ASS to me when I had issues with my order they screwed up.

The light was about 3100.00 a little cheaper than factory direct, Which is what you will find just about anywhere.

The prices are due to come down over some time, however I wouldnt expect to see it for better than 2 years.

How much does it cost to run ? Havent had it up long enough to tell, However the (3) ballasts that come with it run cool as can be. No real draw there. I think if I remember correctly it runs on about 9 amps of current.

Be sure to post more pics once you get some corals in there. I am curious to see more pictures once the tank is stocked. :)
