I think these new lights may be giving me the upper hand I really needed to get rid of that hair algae, now that I can all but delete the white light, yet use other spectrums of light..
That is good to hear. I have read a lot of those articles too. I have a hard time wrapping my head around the focus on blue when corals occur from tidal zones where they get near air color light to deeper where blue is more predominant. IMO there has to be more going on. Something else to consider is white is full spectrum and the "colored" LEDs are narrow color bands. White really helps bridge the gaps.
