just as a side note, i believe i was having so many problems with alk and cal balancing not because of magnesium that was fine i believe the problem was that i was feeding it to high up into the tank and it was causing it for some reason to form big air bubbles and it would not dose along with calcium... so i was ending up dosing my calcium then alkalinity. so i rearranged the tubing so it doses into my sump and that why it was now dosing more alk and cal at the same time :duh:..... what an easy fix :arg:

ok so here are the nightly tests

alk .35 / 10.4 / 3.74
cal 460 ppm
mag 1440 ppm

so far so good...

so i guess the problem was the tubing that kept getting air bubbles that was giving less alk then needed and me overdosing 2 part way to much.. im still at 7ml a day

Update

Could not be happier with the sand and the helio lights 250 watt 20k... its amazingly bright i would compare it to a 12k or 10 k intensity with a ice blue touch to it. i love the bulb. everything is doing well thankgod. i did a flatworm exit treatment and a interceptor treatment tonite. i didnt see any bad stuff just a couple of my poor pods died. I added 2 clownfish tontie and a purple firefish (yes i had 2 clown fish but they both commited suicide so the girlfriend made me replace them so i rescued them from petco  ) figured do something good for these poor animals.

more updated pics coming soon.......... cant wait for the big tank to come along :(
