New coral in the 75gal tank.

Got it from a friend, sold as Australian Micromussa from store. Tried to measure the corallites to determine if its an Mircomussa or an Acanthastrea (then prob a lordhowensis) The red Micromussa is more rare, but curious if it can be a Acanthastrea.
I measured the corallites, since there is a few bare corallites from dead polyps in the back of the coral, they were about same sice on max diameter, sligthly oval but not similar.
The problem is that corallites of Micromussa are <8mm and Acanthastrea 8-15mm (some are bigger), but those on the coral measure about 8mm.
Anyone here that can tell if its an Micromussa or an Acanthastrea from just a photo?

Wanted to keep a tang in the tank, but I find the tank too small for most of them. I only have a C. tominiensis (think you call it tomini tang in English).

Actually it was kept together with a group of leopard wrasses (M. meleagris), and I thought it would leave them alone.. which was not the case..

So its been alone for more than half a year. I'll donate the surgeonfish when I find a system I want him/her to live in. And after that I'll maybe try a new group (1:4) of Macropharyngodon mealeagris, bipartitus or Choati (as long as I find a vital enough group I'd be very happy with the black negrosensis also, which I also find beautiful, but most of the groups of leopard wrasses I see are just brought in, or not in good shape)

And why is never anyone shipping them with sand (including some of the most big, exclusive and professional vendors in europe) Is that something that exporters should do, but never do at all?
Do they ship with sand in USA or just in the books?

never seen fish shipped w/ sand. i don't think that will be such a good idea with all the movement involved in the shipping process. i think it will add to the fish's stress

is that a black cucumber in the pic? i've seen these @ the beach that i frequent but they are pretty hard to remove because they tend to hide in crevices.

I have seen a few times in litterature that fish from the genus Macropharyngodon should be transported with sand to reduce mouth damage and other stress related issues.

Yes its a black cucumber you are seeing. Yes they are hard to remove if its inside crevices as it can stick body to surrounding surface.

But to be honest:;: We got a bunch of lovely stuff i EU,, but the Zoos u are having over... ARE GETTING ME SICK..

Think I have to visit your community and buy zoos cultivated on artificial material (or real non-reef material).
Norway are one of the strichtest legislation countries... (med Yellow tang Z. flavescens is like 200$)
