is it me or do you not have any coraline? i'm guessing it's due to the light. am i wrong?

yeh there isnt a lot. i have some on the back glass starting to grow and some on the pumps, but its taking a while. to be honest im glad as it just sucks up the calcium.

looks like things are doing well. they are starting to color up also. i went back and skimmed thru the thread....didn't see what kind of lighting and what color bulbs are you using? i'm gonna venture a guess on 10k? the overall look is kinda yellow. perhaps try a 14k, it would bring out some natural florescence without looking too fake, imo...... especially if you'll be adding clams. they would look better under 14k. are you leaving some algae on the back wall on purpose?

the lighting is a reeflux 10k single ended bulb. im not sure i will like a 14k as they seem a little dim to me. maybe ill try an old one some day to see but no way am i buying a new one to take a gamble,lol. i have some blue led's for before and after, but with the halide on you cant see if they are on or not.

yeh im leaving the back glass to see what it does. in the past i have always cleaned it but its nice not to have that job,lol. the fish often take a bite from it so im guessing its a good place for some pods. if it gets too much ill have to think about trimming it. also now with the new skimmer it may help to stop it growing .

what wattage? i got some old 14k 400w. don't know if it's worth shipping way over there though. how much would it be....i wonder?

oh sorry, its a 250w. thanks for the offer of shipping but im sure i could get one locally. i have a feeling my lfs uses them over their lps tanks.
