I was recently asked about the effect of LED light on corals in my tank, especially the SPS. Here shows some pics of the corals in my 50 gal tank in my living room:

Zoas (1 year in this tank, 6 months under LED lights)

SPS (1.5 year in this tank, 6 months under LED lights)

Running red lights only is not possible.The power supplied to red lamps is branched from the power supply of the blue lamps. So, when the blue light is turned off, so is the red light. Well, I think there is no need to run the red light solely for a reef tank, isn't it?

I live in Tainan, a southern city in Taiwan. This light costs me $15,280 TWD.
The advantage here in Taiwan is that I do not have to pay lots of money for the shipping. LOL~
